Introducing OG Lab

Modern technology has given us the ability to put a number on various aspects of performance - thus giving us the ability to measure and track improvement. We can add variables such as sleep, nutrition, etc, to determine how these factors affect performance over time.

Our technology allows us to track eye movement and the speed of the cognitive process. These evaluations combined with swing metrics, bat angles and spin efficiency, we can determine how visual improvement contributes to overall performance.

"You can only be as good as your eyes are ... When the game speeds up, your weight-training and nice swing are at the mercy of your visual and cognitive abilities.“

no more guessing ...

The Lab

Assembly Line Training has become popular and is a money-maker for many institutions and training centers throughout the world. Yet this method has not proven to be as effective as customized training based on OBJECTIVE DATA -data collected from a proper testing/evaluation process.

In player development, skill-set improvement alone cannot accomplish every essential element needed to attain greatness. A fairly large percentage of this work must be done in a Lab Environment. Skills such as running, throwing, shooting, hitting, et cetera should be done perhaps on-field, on court, or in an environment that is almost game-like. However, there are other parts of development that cannot be addressed properly in that environment. We are realizing that it is impossible to effectively study athletes and how they perform without dissecting certain parameters with more precision. This evaluation process can only happen in a Lab Environment. The OPTOGAZE™ Performance Lab gives us the ability to go inside of the athlete and take a closer look at the performance.

Complete Game's OPTOGAZE™ has put us in a better position to give our clients the option to take performance enhancement to yet an entirely new level. The combination of how fast and accurate an Athlete's brain computer syncs with their overall body movements is a code that is unique to the individual. Cracking that code is a science. Working with athletes at the World Level, we must understand how to decode each parameter separately, evaluate, train, revaluate, then fuse them back together.

Immaculate Perception

The Eyes Lead the Body. In fact, a large percentage of what occurs in competition is vision-based. What we see or don't see ultimately affects how we react or respond. Therefore, the perfected athlete is superior visually to her peers. We focus on the objective measurement of visual acuity and its effects on performance such as balance/control, rhythm, and power. We are proving that with proper recognition strategies, athletes are able to execute balance and control with greater efficiency. Also, the tracking of stationary or moving objects, reading defenses, hitting targets with accuracy, and decision making skills are enhanced by this training.

So while the honing of skills and perfecting of form is important, one cannot under-value the need for LAB WORK!

Balance-Vision-Balance

When we improve vision, we improve balance. When we improve balance, we improve vision. Balance and Body Control Training is essential to helping athletes maximize their potential. In a Lab Environment, we are able to pinpoint specific visual deficiencies and improve them with specialized individual training and drills. Thus contributing to the proper management and distribution of one's own power. We are also able to test the balance and stability of each side of the body with accuracies of up to one-thousandth of a second. The lack of stability contributes to wobble or sway which affects how athletes see. Lab work addresses this and other balance related issues.

Programs

SWAG 101: Train Live or Remotely

Once we have identified an athletes strengths and/or weaknesses it is time to either maintain or fix it. SWAG 101 is a curriculum formated to teach to the individual athlete's specific needs. The classes aim to enhance Recognition/Tracking, Balance/Control, Execution of Power, and overall Mental Skills. We realize that the more committed athletes are finding it difficult to manage their time with travel and the costs of travelling and school work and practice. Therefore, we have decided to provide support through video conferencing. You can now take certain classes via the internet, tablet or mobile device.
